The wisdumb of crowds

Just wandered over to Trickzorz and read an interesting post about communities and social interaction. I’ve never really done the forum thing for exactly the reasons talked about in the post. Sensible, badly explained, unintentionally controversial questions spoken by uneducated ‘newbs’, quickly get flamed and into arguments with long standing ‘locals’. Publically humiliating a fellow Neanderthal is never a good thing by people that think they own the place – but most people don’t realise their ‘medicine’ is actually contributing to the decline of a community. The best method is always to rationalise and educate or shut up.
