Taekwondo: Aaron Cook

I came across an interesting article in the Independent Newspaper today. Focusing primarily on the Taekwondo ‘golden child’ Aaron Cook and this 16yr olds current kicking status now and his potential for the Bejing Games in 2008 and the London Olympics in 2012.

The most important part of the article and surprising to me (as I had no-idea it was even being considered) … was (quote) ‘the Sport is linking with Manchester City Council to get Taekwondo into local schools. One of the reasons being, the taekwondo code obliges all youngsters to show respect to their elders, and to be truthful, neat and clean.’

Hooray for that… I hope it gets accepted and works to convert all the little undisciplined chav shits in the UK who currently disrespect anyone with authority atm.
